Entrepreneurship

At The Lion's Roar, our "currency" is staff. I have attended for several years now the "Freshman Roar," an event just before the beginning of the school year for the freshmen to sign up for various clubs and activities, on behalf of The Lion's Roar and the LHS Journalism Academy to recruit students for our program. In addition to this, this year I helped plan the LHS Career Fair, which all sophomores attended. I ran the Journalism Academy table, where students who were interested could sign up for journalism classes for the following year and join our staff.

Each month, when our newspaper comes out, I will log onto our Twitter account and tweet that the issue is in. Whenever I or anyone else update the website, I tweet a link to it. And several times a week, we tweet links to YouTube videos created by other students in the Academy and on the staff. We use social media (The Lion's Roar is on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat) to our advantage not only to tell stories, but also to tell the world that we are here.
