The Psychology of Fear
This fall, a film adaptation of Stephen King's It was a huge success at the cinema. I saw it and was terrified, but I, along with everybody that I saw it with and seemingly the rest of the world, loved it in spite of the fear. That led me to question the psychology behind that love of fear, and out of that, this article was born.

Student ‘appalled’ by bias in story; Breeze defends reporting
This is what a local newspaper, The Valley Breeze, titled a letter to the editor/editorial that I submitted to them in response to an incredibly biased and poorly-written story that they wrote about a former teacher and coach from our school who has been accused of embezzlement. They published my piece, but not without a defense on their end. I am incredibly proud of this piece because it told the side of the story that wasn't being told, and by adding that side of it, it balanced out a tense situation.
Aliens! Pentagon Aims to Find Them
I have always been fascinated by the idea of extraterrestrial life. So when the Pentagon announced that they had, at one point, had a legitimate program that researched that possibility, I knew I had to find out more about it. That led to the writing of this article and sidebar, which, to be honest, is probably the most fun piece I've ever written.
